Wondering if it would have been better to have booked a tent with hook up and the bongo being the car?

Booked in as well. One adult, one dog and a Bongo £50. Forgot to ask what they will be doing about the height barrier at the entrance, but someone else will be there first, I will be sure. No chance of booking as a tent, as soon as I said the dates it was "that's the campervans weekend".
It was a great location for Southern Softies, Lots of local pubs so this should be a good one.

I'm booked, didn't ask what type of pitch though or whether that was with leccy (doesn't matter we can manage without in the summer anyway)
We're pitch number 16

Grrrrr

I have to wait until tomorrow for a Leave Request. Fingers crossed or Northern Bongolow will be going on his own with the girls.

Should be a nice weekend. Loopylou, I think all the pitches are hook ups, especially for that price!
Can't remember which pitch we are, but she did say that she was reserving the 7 places for us all nearby to each other if you mentioned the name 'Carlton' at booking

We held a meeting here a while back. As you have realised it's not cheap, but it's an excellent site. The main problem was that there was no vehicular access to the park (gates locked!) after 5.30pm.

Campervans have access 24 hour access in and out of the park once booked in. If you can't be there on the Friday before 5.30 you can call them before 3pm on the day and they'll arrange a late book in for you
As Ian says, it is a lovely site. We've stayed there several times when booking Bongo in for a service near by

I'm sure the woman was whining on about not taking bikes in until 5.30 as the public would be there up until then - I wasn't listening too attentively as I was pretending to be doing some work

Cycling is allowed around the campsite anytime, but the rest of the country park when the public are there they don't allow cycling.

Yep, she knew exactly who I meant

I wonder if she knows all the spiel off by heart, she was rambling on for ages.
