Fear ye not. Mine fold electrically but are not heated. In many ways I think manual ones are probably a blessing in disguise - one less thing to go wrong on an ageing Bongo. 8)

95% sure mine aren't heated, meant to check today while I was out in it #-o . I wonder if the wiring is already lurking in there?

There aren't any spare plugs in the wiring looms for the doors, nor is there a solid earth to the door, all the motors / solenoids / speakers in the door have both wires straight back to the switches etc. that drive them, as in all cases the motors / solenoids are reversed to drive the other way, there isn't a need for anything to be connected to earth as such and you wouldn't rely on the hinge to provide the electrical connection to earth. At least not in the 1997 manual, and it doesn't differ dramatically from the 1995 manual.

Yep, there's an earth wire in the door loom for the lecky windows.. (I know, i fixed it two years ago!) I believe the earth fer the mirrors are through the mirror switch & grounded to the chassis under the dash..? (I fried part of the PCB in the mirror switch & successfully repaired it months ago..)
Though i do use the top pin in the door hinge to earth the meter when testing live wires... :D

There is nothing for heated mirrors.. You would have to wire in an after market set up..
Auto closing the mirrors on locking solves (or at least helps reduce) the freezing fer me! 8)

Ah..yup your right  , but only in the Offside door as it goes to the Window switch directly, and then its switched to both Windows from there. If it connects to the door itself then they have missed it out on the diagrams, always possible however!
