Right pretty painless change over so DNS is propagating as I type and service has resumed, possibly some brief interruptions whilst the modems settle down and choose the best profile!

OK the First of the two supplements covering the more recent Bongo wiring changes is now on-line!
Jan 1999 thru to August 1999 is now ready and available
The second supplement September 1999 onwards is being readied, it being a little more complicated to handle as it has multiple changes to the same sections covering different VIN numbers, just to make life interesting!
The new front page is linked to here;
As previously hover the mouse over the covers for a list of VIN numbers covered.
If you spot any problems do shout and let me know !

There being no "Electrics" I though posting here might be an idea. I have struggled a bit to identify rear lighting wiring colours but I have listed what I have found so far. Could SKP (Some Kind Persons) check my interpretation. Their function of some is not altogether clear. For example the "position" on page 72 are a bit of a mystery. All the lamps are named 5 W - there appear to be two laps for the licence plate. But I am unsure about the other 4 lamps that are also 5 W! This is for a 1996 2.5 TD

Trying to sort out what wiring is required for tow bar electrics.
Any assistance would be gratefully received - Thanks Jim

The wiring colours seem to be in Japanese - what are the other symbols which look nothing like Japanese? I have tried copy & paste so to translate from Japanese to English but copy and paste will not work.

Click the Wiring Colours link at the bottom
, it has the symbols and colours shown, also the basic looms don't change between the years and if you use the 1997 manual the colours are at least in the Roman alphabet rather than Kanjii!
The Letter in brackets - (f) is the loom name see page 7 which also has the colours shown;
The various connectors (plugs/sockets) are labelled as E3-04 etc. and are identified as to physical location on the next page.
If all else fails the Help page
also has lots of hints and tips......

Ian what are the chances of getting diagrams that I can copy/paste to have the Kanji scrip translated. My son tells me I can't do that from the pdf files as its probably a picture image!

The trick to translating imaged text, is OCR the image with the Japanese language selected, the output is now OCR'ed Jansen that can be pasted into Google Translate or whatever!

Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals - FUSE page to be tested ..

Right more additions!
I now have a FUSE page ready at long, long last
I would like a few testers just to try it out and to be critical please, it should work on most common browsers and is usable down to 800x600 screens, and will also work on tablets as it only uses HTML5 and javascript. Its been designed not only for those who understand electrical aspects but I hope also those who don't and just want to know what fuse(s) they should look at! So please if you have no or little experience don't feel excluded, your input on how it works is even more important to me!
If your willing to help then drop me a PM on this forum and I will send you a link.

OK, well its been tried tested and modified and will be going live shortly!
Its the same URL so head over
http://www.g8dhe.net/bwm/ for the latest release.
All the Fuse pages work on Tablets and Phones, but the original Bongo Wiring Manual pages still require Flash so won't appear unless you have it installed.
Please do PM me or comment here if you have any problems and I'll see what can be done!
Bongo lights & bulbs

I have added a new section that now displays the types and numbers of the various lights used in a Bongo.
I believe I've caught them all, but there maybe a few illumination lights I've missed around the vehicle, if so let me know and I'll include them as well!
The page also has a link to replacing the "U" fluorescent tube with the LED COB panels now available.
