That is just how mine sounded when the filter(s) were blocked.
Fitting a new fuel filter and cleaning out the banjo filter cured it.
The filter had only been replaced 200miles earlier but I think I had used some old diesel from a can.

Even if it took 3 glow plug relays & 3 sets of glow plugs to get there

yeah ir has been a pain for a few weeks now but at long last she purrs like a lion on start up again instead of a 40year long smoker!
Now onto the next job, where to get a set or anti roll bar links at a good price??

..........and are often better quality than some of the rubbish on Ebay

yeah i read in our compatible parts list that the rears where the same as a rover 800. which are a better fit though?
