cigarette lighter sockets - thicker cable

I bought a B&D 12volt mini fridge with a cig. lighter plug,was confused because it would only work off the rear socket and not the front {all connected to the leisure battery and reading 12.75V}

Having read all the info on this site I relised it was caused by lack of adequate thickness and hence voltage drop.

The rear socket was the only appliance originally connected to the leisure battery by the dealer with very thick cable.

reffitted the front socket with 50 amp cable now works fine.
