Finally got around to replacing my replaced droplinks that started giving up after 11 months or so, each joint was like this or worse

Spot the difference, the top one is a duff one just replaced, shiny one the identical replacement provided by the seller & the bottom one the original. The difference in weight is very noticeable, the originals are way heavier & chunkier, the rubber gaiter hadn't deteriorated at all, but the joint is noticably slack, it returns to the mid point just from the "push" of the gaiter. The joints on the ones I just took off still had some stiffness, but nowhere near the new ones. Be interesting to see how long they now last.
