Sounds like you may need new HT leads. I leave mine for a couple of weeks sometimes and don't get that issue.

[quote="apole"]Hi Cheffy,

On my smart car I had a damaged HT lead due to an idiot garage not removing them properly (why use a proper tool when you can just yank the wire !!) and if you put a big load on the engine on a damp day, it would shut down the pot with the duff lead and the engine light would come on. Are we sure the light means that the heat sensor is at fault here, it could just be something else.

You know something apole the first time it happened it was def the heat sensor, as soon as it was replaced all was fine, the second time round i'm not so sure :?: i agree i have more than one thing goin on at mo :!: niggles i call them :D one of my leads is not well i know for sure because it fell apart when i took it off, it still fires but [-o< [-o< so im on a set of leads :wink: to start, i will find a diogs event :roll:

Can recommend a damp prevention spray we use called "Duck oil" manufactured by swarfega works a treat when spayed on ht leads,dizzy caps(inside n out)coils etc and stays oily longer than wd40
can also be used all over the bongo making all the black and grey plastic look nice and shiny plus spay it on the roof and boot dampers to stop the whining.

Cheers Steve.
I am the only bongo in the village.......(not anymore there's two of us now "Damn it)
