If thats the case, silly me , never was a strong point !!!! then you are putting in only 100 times the amount of our latest module and 53 times the old one.......much better but I'm afraid it will still be dangerously high. the above advice still stands.

(it was a test really to see if you were paying attention)

Thanks for the advice, did you notice I did say Maplins got the resistance wrong? Ok i'm a novice when it comes to electronics this is the first kit that I have put together so I am learning. It is now in the lower third of micro amps and said I will find out how low it will go.
Why are you reducing the amps, do you think any amps in the system are bad? Less amps the longer it takes to be a problem?

I'm not a electricky guru myself but I do have the Engine Saver empire behind me. Their R & D dep't are very "switched on" (no pun intended)
Using high current ..as I understand it will first of all make any "probe" type sensor system uery unreliable as the "probes" will get a coating and become resistive.
Then that big hard to spell word..electrolysis..will start moving bits of metal about..then it can alter the PH of the coolant and start to destroy it's properties.
What grade of SS are your probe screws.
