As for Concorde.
The only problem was they charged £20 per person to go on Concorde and have a look around. but we could not go on Concorde on our visit, because it had been pre booked for a group of other people, with a guide.
Wonder how much they would charge for a bongo day meet and a visit on the Concorde ?.

Its very carefully balanced on the tailgate, but its a bugger to get under the low barriers and bridges.

Yep, unfortunately we'll never see it's kind again...pity.

I have a weaker claim to fame with concord. I have never been on it or seen it but my dads cousin used to fly on it regularly to see us from the USA and gave me a set of concorde playing cards when I was a kid - they are in a box somewhere.

they must be collectors items ,might be worth a couple of bob.
You should have seen the prices in the aviation shop, a small concorde toy was a fiver, £15 for the same toy but in a green harrods box.

the tour that was going on Concorde went inside the plane and you could here some of the commentary from the guide as he was walking them around and under the plane.

Gutted I missed this one.

Just down the road from me. If I'd not been busy I'd have loved to add a bit of tattiness to the Bongo collection

Not sure about £20 to look over Concorde though - I do love her but.....

When I got back into work (thanks to JobCentre) after redundancy and unemployment, the job was v low paid but the office was underneath the control tower. So I managed to get these pics (except for the one taken on the airfield of Concorde taxying in - thats an official pic):

* Concordes last pleasure flight take off from the airport (were you one of the green jackets Cabte - everyone found an excuse to have to be in that part of the airfield at the appointed time )

* Concorde last taxying in to a welcome from the fire tenders, and final shutdown right underneath my window.

Money can't buy memories like that - especially for a plane nut
