Can you post a link for the site,or an address/postcode.
Think i need to scrutinise autoroute or googlemaps for access with my
caravan.I may be bringing the NW/Yorks marquee,so need to be sure i can get there as it will be dark when i arrive. (8pm-ish)

Hi all, the road the dp has told you about is the best route, I would not try with a caravan, infact I think at the top of the lane there is a sign warning about no caravans, will post a link this evening Brian and Karena so you are clear about the route, think the bridges are about the same in width stainforth bridge is a humpback

Sorry to mither, are you saying you would not chance either route with a caravan, even the way DP suggested??
Ive looked at google earth and the road from Stainforth to Little Stainforth is shown as Dog Hall Brow (off the B6479 Stainforth rd.That uses what looks like a VERY narrow bridge, and leads onto Stainforth lane which eventually become Stackhouse Lane.
Now,on the route DP suggests,i enter Settle via Church st,which goes over what looks like a quite wide bridge (also looks to have a narrower pedestrian one parallel to it) over the Ribble, get on the B6480,
turn hard right onto Stackhouse lane, which eventually becomes Stainforth lane. This route doesnt appear to present a problem for a caravan.Correct or not? Is this the road the site is on,ie Stackhouse rd BEFORE it becomes Stainforth Lane.

Thanks Dave you beat me to it, I have to wait my turn on the P.C.

The route from stainforth is not passable as stated

the other route is certainly caravan friendly
