Was that spoken in a Victor Meldrew voice Dave

With the roof up the squirrels will have to move onto the windscreen of a Bongo

Advanced Apologies For Absence.
Looks like we won't be there Saturday chaps.
Decided to take advantage of the break & do a 4 day marathon tour of Scotland leaving around 6am Friday morning, heading up Elgin way. Maybe Tobermory. But get as much great scenery in as possible.
Never really "done" Scotland but am really looking forward to a cool trip.
Will take plentyof pics & probably produce one of Mr Munkeys infamous Travelblogs too.

There`s a great Classic car / bike show & autojumble in the next field and a car boot for the Mrs on the Monday,
not to mention a lovely little pub right in the corner of the same field.

Too many little jobs to do around the home with a family wedding in offing and the partners daughter moving in with us from Darwen to make a new start.
MM if you are going up the A9 then I would recommend the campsite at Blair Atholl off the old A9. Not the cheapest around but it has really first class facilities and free access to the castle grounds thrown it. Plenty of bunnies hopping around the to remind you that it is Easter.

If you are taking the A68 over Carter Bar into Scotland (the only real border into Scotland as it sits on top of the Cheviot Hills). You will pass very close to my place. I am in Galashiels just off the new A7 (access off the old A7) facing Abbottsford House (Sir Walter Scott's place) across the River Tweed. Kingsknowes Roundabout is the nearest landmark.

If its Ok with you, we can try and "hop" over to your mini meet, if "billy-bongo" is behaving himself that day, he has an intermittant problem and sometimes goes into flashing hold/stuck in 3rd gear mode and then its a slow trip back home..............but if hes having a good day, we will be there too, along with our 2 boys, they will scare the squirrels away so we will leave you to do your wildlife photography in peace...
This would be our very first meet and in one of our favourite places too!!!
