Bongo Fury

I can't help but use mine mike... Just like i indicate on an empty road....

I did leave the handbrake applied on one of the bongo's "winter hibernations" and sure enough, the handbrake was seized on.

I left it in the "off" position,a few weeks later when i checked, the handbrake had freed itself!

I had an old E Reg Mazda 323 and the handbrake would regularly seize the back brakes up. I found by giving it a load of right foot the brakes would eventually make a CLONGGGG!! noise and away I went!

I used to have that on my Renault Autosleeper

One time it didn't move a mechanic friend showed me how to sort it using a 3lb lump hammer and a stone chisel

Fitting discs all round , then having a drum handbrake system at the rear does seem a bit odd but the Bongo isn't alone in having such a system. The Saab 9-5 & 9-3 are the same.

And me having had two Saab 9-3's. Shows I'm too old to 'get out and get under'!
