As far as I know, yes, BFB will give a propper answer soon.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

This was actually the only slight doubt I had about using the site.

Initially the Park owners have said that visitors would have to pay the day admission rate which is £3.25 for adults and £2.50 for children and seniors.

I was later told that it was probable (depending on numbers camping) that I could negotiate a day pass rate below this. I will approach them again at the beginning of February and I will update everyone then.

They have let me in twice so far to have a look around and told me I can return as often as I like to check anything/ask questions so I'm hoping that I can turn that trust into a positive for any Bongo visitors.

Other than that, I have mentioned before that if the day visitors were more than 2 adults (at £6.50) then it would probably pay for me to book them in for a night at £8 with no hookup.

I put this on the other thread and then discovered this was the main one so I'm copying it to here:

Hi, Would anyone have any objections to us turning up in our Bongo-Friend Autosleeper rather than a Bongo? We have more or less run out of excuses not to sell the Bongo so it is about to go up for sale so by March we may be Bongoless

However Brokerswood is some journey for us so it would mean taking all the Friday off work which may not be possible. Before we start moving work commitments around I thought it best to check whether we would be welcome!

It also happens to be my birthday that weekend so I'd welcome some company in commiserating

Answered here, answered everywhere...

Of course you are welcome!

You may not have a Bongo, but you have a Bongo brain....

Im afraid i can't make this one as a sleeper as its during a very busy few weeks.

I would however be interested in a day visit and would pay for the Saturday night and stay till later.

Hi everyone,

A little more confirmation....

Today I have secured a further 7 (and since a further 3) places meaning 20 pitches altogether for the weekend. This means I currently only have 0 places up for grabs on a first come basis. These figures are based on the details I posted on Sunday 27th. This list will be edited when changes occur.

All of our spaces are hardstanding including electric and cost £10 per night. Due to the time of year the site does not take bookings for grass only camping. For awnings or camping on the hardstandings we will need to use rock pegs. This is not a problem and there is no need to buy any as I can provide the equivelent of these for anyone who needs them.

Visitors are definitely welcome and I will negotiate a visitors price (starting from £0 :) ) when necessary.

Obviously this is the first time I’ve organized something like this and any questions are still welcome. Between us we can make this a success as the first “Rest of the West Meet”. Many thanks for your interest and support.

Paul

BFB - think I'm going to have pass on this one. The other half is going abroad with her mum, so I'll be on cat-sitting duties that weekend. May be able to make it for the day. Well done for organising it - hope everyone has a great time.

As long as everyone is happy for an overgrown Bongo-Friend without a raising roof to be in your midst we'll come.
