Bongo Fury

Did a bit of a search on past squealy belt type topics - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... ight=belts . I knew there was something niggling at the back of my mind about belt dressing ( not to be confused with cross dressing, although the stockings may get get you home if your belt snaps ) from working at sea. If I remember rightly, it was part of the planned maintenance schedule for some of the belt driven compressors etc that would be running 24/7.

Hmm...the Tenth reply on the first page of your link kirsty seems strangely familiar?..... Where have i seen that quoted before....?

This cross dressing malarkey must be a bongo thing...I'm sure there was a bunch of forum members at the buxton meet partaking in this practice.....

But they were upfront about it!

Bloody ell...........mines a dinky to found mine in higher ince when she fell over the bonnet of my triumph spitfire drunk in 1975. Took her home so i could claim if she damaged it. Still waiting....lol

I just had a look at the WD40 web site to see if they recommend it as a use for squeaky belts but could not find it. If you have used it as such and you could go to the WD40 web site and add the squeaky belt cure to their many uses, these uses are submitted by the general public but not endorsed by WD40. There are loads of other quirky uses listed.

I see from the link that missfixit added to one of her posts there is a dedicated spray that is used as a belt dressing, maybe confusion arises from this.

I also looked at the link provided in a previous post (I think again by missfixit) on exactly the same subject and I can only say that 'Great Minds Think Alike', unless vanmanerik has got big t*ts.

Did you know that if your can of WD40 stops working through a stiff nozzle then a squirt of WD40 from a different can will mend it?

Thats it for today folks, got to clean the oven, make the beds, hoover, cook meals, check the wagon to make sure its roadworthy for Wed, etc. any chance of a hand here vanman?????

Glad I have found this thread. Mine squeeks a little until she is warm. Is this normal. She is due for a service and mot in Jan. Any suggestions
