Flipper,
Are you making up the complete hoses by using elbows, straights etc?

I was going to do that myself in the next month but purpose made could/should be cheaper so will wait

Would be gratful of the cost of both methods once worked out. (Like the idea of individual hoses-- downside- lots of point of failure -- upside easy to change just the failed hose

Ok, the thread seems to have taken a turn...

Bamtamman has phoned me this evening to let you all know that his internet connection is down at the mo... here's the update so far...

His supplier reckons that a set of ten hose kits would get the ball rolling,a final price will not be available till a rough prediction of demand is available, in other words, the more interest there is, the cheaper the kit would be.

However, this may be all academic as flippa has a kit in the pipeline, i know that bantamman wouldn't want to tread on any toes, so he may see what develops there before giving the nod for a run off the kits.

I can't of course answer for bantamman,i suspect he will see how much a kit is, and see if its competitive with the quote he gets from his man (dont shoot the messenger, this is all conjecture)

Clear hoses from bantammans contact would be expensive, possible, but expensive.

Keep us posted eh Flippa?

BigDaddycain,
Do you reckon a vote is in order? Lets face it BongoPower DID get a workshop manual translation!

As I'm doing a major overhaul it makes sense to me to do it all now..
let's face it a tow of the motorway is WAY more than some hoses :-)

Again, cant really comment for bantamman...but he did stress that he didnt want to p155 on anybodies parade, and if time is of a factor, if truth be told, bantammans guy needs a complete set of hoses which will be the templates for the kit... At this stage there are no hoses that can be used for templates at this time. (i was gonna ask on forum if anybody had any old knackered ones that could be used)

Great idea tony, (the vote) i guess we'll just have to see how it goes with Flippa in the meantime...It sounds like they are near enough ready for sale

Flippa? please dont think that bantamman is shouldering his way in,he has a lot of interest in purchasing (so do i) a kit...but was unsure as to how it was progressing...

The hoses are the main part of the system - but are there also a few bits of metal piping which are likely to have suffered from corrosion?

I wonder whether Bantamman, the originator of this thread or a moderator could correct the spelling of the title to read SILICONE.

And no, it is not the pedant in me this time - it will make SEARCHES more accurate for everyone in the future.
