Daft Daffy Bash, 13th to 15th March.

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

I'm hoping I can let the lads out of school so we can get over on Friday evening. However it will be tight timing in terms of darkness and setting up, esp. if the weather is cr*p. Is there likely to be anywhere we could shelter and heat up some food (are NW bringing the marquee for example?) as if so we could simply doss down in the Bongo and save putting up the awning until daylight if it is dark and wet when we arrive.

It's gonna be fun :D

There will be a jacobs join in the Marquee from about 7.00pm on Friday evening.

Please bring your contributions...sweet, savoury or liquid.

A stove will be set up for peeps to make brews/stews/pot noodles.

If you overtake a dark blue KangooRoo with an overloaded roofrack on the way to the meet don't expect to find the marquee in place when you arrive.

cheers

Brilliant Harry. That gives us some very useful insurance against late arrival, weather etc. I'll make sure we have our own grub - just need something to heat it up on if things are against us.

You're a star =D>

I thought i'd do a spot of planning...I'll fetch the scissors so the soy sauce sachets (try saying that with a gobfull of noodly goodness) can be opened up for our favourite hot noodley snacks.

Is it any golden wonder we are mad about em?

We'll assess the conditions and the peeps that want to give it a go on the day bearing in mind that I never take unneccesary riskd.

Off to Roy Bridge in the Scottish Highlands today for 3 days Snow/Ice climbing and Skiing with Kendal Mountain Rescue Team so if I don't manage to damage myself I'll se you peeps next week.

Sounds odd doncha think Muz? First time he was rescued peeps thought it was pile of rubbish with a dusting of snow, lying just outside the new cafe by the summit. Sounds like we may have a hill climbing tramp on our hands ("rescuers were only able to pinpoint his position due to his outstretched arm and snow filled begging cap, which protruded from the snow").
