I've lost the plot with names, their are nine permutations i.e. Real name, forum name and Bongo colour. Luckily I didn't confuse Andy with Hoggman's silver blue bongo
Ps wee tree was a wee bit wee by the end of thee day

I know what you mean about the names, last week when we went to Pennington Flash I kept saying to everyone and what's your name again mind you it seems that most of the men there's name was either Dave or C/Karl.

Just a quick thanks to "The Dobbies" for taking the time to arrange the mini meet today.
Plenty of familiar faces and also quite a few new ones, i actually found myself offering advice to newer owners (God forbid as i am the worlds worst mechanic but i do know how to work the wing mirrors and the leccy blinds
), as always everyone very friendly and welcoming (Thanks very much for a slice of birthday cake (Hope you had a great 8th birthday !!), Looking forward to seeing you all at a future meet up, maybe we should try to arrange a Seaside visit and have a bit of a convoy to the beach.

Thanks to Graham for the meet, good to meet with friends old and new....... getting to be a need for a "Same Faces Club" section...

....
Had a good overnighter at Uttoxeter Racecource Caravan Club site.... well worth a stop over if in the area...easy walk to the town (Lidl & Tesco there) lots of pubs and eating places inc sit in Fish & Chips....
If you decide to book in and are there on a raceday.... you get free entry to the races...... The site warden said there are many events on the racecourse inc Car rallies, music festivals and the like.....

I need to thank everybody for all being very sporting about the £3 parking fee, I'm just glad it was the Ranger that had to collect it off you lot
I had a chat with Ranger, they run an off road tour of the chase, you need a proper 4x4 to do it. I suggested to him that perhaps we could do a more sedate Bongo friend-Lee tour of the fire roads. He's asked me to find out if there's interest for a half day tour? The full day 4x4 one is £40
The chase has a lot of military and natural history so it would be a good day out.
Anyone interested?

We haven't had any toilet jokes yet, did we all manage?
Tackeroo 3 anyone?
PS Well done to Philo and family for making it, hope the P&Q of the chase was restorative

Very pleasant thanks Graham. Funnily enough, when almost everyone had gone, we were having a drink and Regor was having a butty, Thomas announced that he needed a poo and nipped off behind a tree. Fortunately, armed with a nappy sack and baby wipes a full clean up was achieved leaving no trace behind!
Bring on Tackeroo 3!

What a weekend. Fantastic. Amie..x, Tilly (the black pooch) and myself and now well and truely chilled. We had a great drive down with our guest Di of Di and Jamie in convoy with Snow_Kiter, Pete.
We arrived at camp to be met by Andy Caff and his Shepherd Lexy. Kettle was on and camp was set up. What beautiful location. Stunning.
Team Muz arrived shortly after and BBQ's were lit. After a hearty feed we then head off for a walk through the woods. We came across Deer roaming free and grazing (well until Lexy decided to go see ).
Returning to camp, the home bbq ala logs was burning bright. We sat in the tranquil setting and enjoyed a few glasses of wine. All of the party retired to bongo beds woken only by the sound of bird song.
A bbq/griddle breakfast was prepared just in time for the Sunday visitors arriving. Midlanders are very friendly people and just as mad as us. Very pleased to meet Regor, Hoggman, Tay, Bulwell Bongoliers, Triple R and many more. Special thanks to Dobby for the extra bit of Bongo , to Faulty family for taking us to some cheaper fuel. Over and above the call of duty. They even took us to the Junction for the M6. Your a star thankyou and last but by no means least to Dobby for organising the meet for us all. Amie will now settle down to her GCSE revision, much more relaxed.
Hope to catch up you all again and thanks for making us so very welcome.
Will post some pics in a bit. Bath time for now. A few video clips later, nowt flash just some pan shots of the site for any future campers/visitors .
In a bit

Chell - what a fantastic post, wish we'd got our act together and stayed up there last night.
The Midlanders are a fantastic crowd (the NW lot aren't too bad either

).
