I fear the only solution is to place a priceless piece of porcelain under the accelerator pedal

No idea since I can't cook, that's why I always bring pies.

gaffer tape the lid (or if no lid a plate or something that fits over the top) onto the pan you cooked it in.

Just wanted to say how sorry I am we didn't make it. I had hitched up the trailer and got all supplies on board when plans started to unravel. I won't bore you with the details, just call it the typical complications of family life. I'd been looking forward to a walk up Gummers How too, and to seeing old friends. Oh well
I'll look forward to reading the reports of all the fun that was had. I reckon Cumbria may have had some of the best UK weather this weekend.

Thanks everyone for a smashing time.
Not a single photo taken due to be out on the water most of the day. Have the blisters from rowing to prove it.

Hope you all had a good time and the weather was sort of on your side. This was all booked up way before we had even got our bongo. See you all at the National bash.

Another brilliant weekend at Hill of Oaks, many thanks to Di & Jamie for organising and arranging good weather again
Hannah thanks everyone who let her have ago in the varied boats that were available, especially the yellow Ocean Kayak which, due to her excellent paddling skills, saw her drifting off towards Newby Bridge
A few pictures from us:
First, the Bongo pictures....

Right, that’s enough Bongos. Now the wildlife shots....

Next, the crazy dog competition, entered by....

Holly, a Working Cocker leaping off the south pier....

Tilly, seemingly swimming all the way across the lake

Holly, a Working Cocker leaping off the north pier....
Next, the mystery object competition....

What is it....

....is it a bird, is it a plane....

....ah, it’s SnowKiter
Next, the “Riding a bike off the end of the pier competition”, entered by Gary....

....who sportingly did it twice to make sure we had pics
Next, the fun in the water....
