Bongo Fury

Hi Karl again.

There is a small camping area behind the pub but I'd be doubtful if it would take a bongo plus awning as there isn't a lot of flat ground big enough for both. The site is mainly used by backpackers with smallish tents. Campervans, caravans etc tend to stay on the carpark or road as as soon as you get off road things get very soggy.

The pub sometimes lets customers book settees in the lounge to doss on for big doos but I'm not certain if this one counts.

They certainly don't have allocated pitches to book

They're quite happy to rent out a sofa by the fire for a fiver a night, plus another fiver for a full english in the morning.

Failing that, theres floorspace in the barn. They really are a very fexible bunch, just come on up - it'll be fine!!

I've just been told that I'm going to Blackpool on the Friday night (it's the 18th birthday of my friend's daughter) and we may be staying on Saturday too. I will get up to Tan Hill, if I can manage to wriggle out of Blackpool - as it's my idea of hell and I really don't want to go, I would much prefer to be with the Bongo crowd but she's a lovely girl and I am her Godmother and she really wants me to go.

If I do manage to come, I'm sure I can squeeze into a small gap somewhere. So fingers crossed that I make it and, if not, I hope everyone has a great time.

Considering going up on Friday night.

sorry to say but we might have to miss this one , family commitments this weekend have buggered our plans.
if we can get up we will but it depends on what time we get finished moving the daughter to her new house.
have a great time if we dont get there.

OK were comin up hopin to leave about 12 oclock on friday apparently about 5 hrs so should be there by sunday.


BONGO-LOUIS

I expect to get there around 7.0pm on Saturday but since my Bongo has gone to France i'll be in a dreary car. Has anything been arranged re food on Sat evening or will it be eat in the pub bar? I emailed the pub some weeks ago to book a settee and breakfast but never had a reply so I'm glad to hear we can kip in the Barn!

Karaoke is off the menu I fear. Just been told there is something wrong with the gear so unless anyone can oblige.

Hiya, really getting excited about this meet. This will be my first one since getting my own car

Hope to get there late morning Saturday from the Midlands area. Looking forward to meeting up with NW peeps I may have met at Tatton Park in March as well as new faces from there and other areas.

Everybody have a safe journey, I reckon it's going to be a great weekend.
