I dont think you did Biddy - I reckon this a bit of classic Oz humour eh Oz? Incidentally Oz, I must apologise for not spending more time on the database - I've been selfishly and ruthlessly (oooh errrr matron) pursuing my programme of fettling Mango. Hope to take some pics and post them before long

Having checked my oil following the video, I like to add that if you have manual gears you need to undo the popper for the gator around the gear stick :roll:

Great vid orzic........just to add to the brora post - there are poppers at the rear of the engine bay which need to be redone if only one side is opened at a time...................not a crit m'bhoy, it's an excellent and straightforward video :D

This is not a criticism of tru3meg27, as its a valid question if you dont know how to check the oil. What amazes me, is how many people buy a 10 year old(or thereabouts) vehicle and are not shown, or do not ask the seller how to check it.
Bongo's are not known for using oil, but you never know unless you check.
I have shown many bongo owners who have visited me for conversions- how to check the oil(sometimes after several months of ownership).
I never sell a bongo myself without making sure that I advise the buyer to check the oil weekly for the first month or so - better to spot a problem before it becomes a blown engine. At the end of the day, if it is a fresh import and I have not personally driven it for a few weeks then I cannot state that it will not use oil etc.
Given the expense of headgasket problems its also worth checking the expansion tank at the same time.
