Because there are More Picasso's than Bongo's in Europe

Obviously there are more Picasso's in the UK. Above all, it has been voted UK's favorite MPV. If we have them on nearly every uk road, it's obvious there would be more accidents from Citroen that a mere 16000 approx. bongo's on the road. Lol

I did not criticize Ian

Don't make unnecessary assumptions and concentrate about vehicle safety. How do you know how safe these vehicle's are. This has nothing to do with Ian or this website.

Re: May be I was wrong - Got it for first time got exited.

javednazeer wrote:Ok ok, I got exited when I got the vehicle and I presumably made some false assumptions about fuel consumption bearing in mind it was in miles. Ok, I made a fault and I admit it, ok chief sorry for this. The issue is not really about fuel economy, it is about safety. Ian is telling us that he had an accident and he is making us believe that the accident he had is what we all have to benchmark upon. Let's face it, this web site was created to attrack people like us and to serve motor traders sell there vehicle's. You Just look on the technie side, how many people have troubles from there Bongo's. Well my query for '' How safe is the Bongo'' has risen some bells. Better be late than never fella's. Get yourself a proper MPV with some good safety rating before it's too late. Don't take word from Motor Trader's but from someone who think about safety for your family and other's on the road.
The post to which I referred.

I'm outta here. Good luck with the resale.

I'm surprised that someone would attempt to sell a car as dangerous as that  Surely you would have to scrap it.

Dobby - I won't scrap it, but will give it to you free . PM

Pm me Dobby, I'll give you my dobby free, in this way you can tell the rest how concern I am from the Bongo and about you carrying people in them.

Hi javednazeer
Let's face it, no vehicle is 100% safe in an accident.
As for safe MPVs, just look at the results for the crash tests of a Ford Galaxy - yet Tony Blair still thinks his family are safe in one.

Well javednazeer if the safety issue bothers you that much then do yourself a favour & sell it quick!.
I however am very happy with part exchanging my VW Sharan (diesel @45/50mpg) for a 4wd Bongo 2 weeks ago....
You sould have read the forum thoroughly, you would have seen its more of a lifestyle/social change than a family taxi thing.

and as for the safety thing... did 35mile round trip to work & back today in 4 to 5 inches of snow on A & B class roads... felt alot happier & safer in the Bongo than I did in a front wheel drive Sharan.

Good luck in choosing your next vehicle :D

Andy

Interesting old thread this one.. and I do not have a Bongo *yet* OK for safety, last year I had a Renault Espace, and it was in a collision with some pigeon that went around a roundabout the wrong way, and he hit me front end... Boy you should have seen the feathers!... Oh the Espace is plasticine not metal!!
The insurance on the Bongo, well I am paying over £6000.00 for a ford fiesta right now, and the Bongo is going to bring this down to £22000.00.

I am going to be more than happy to drive my children, and family in my Bongo.
Also on the note on fuel cost... Yes the Bongo is not that good.. But when you have 4 children like my self, with 3 now required by Law, to sit in booster seats, plus my slightly better half, you try doing that in a tumble dryer!.... the answer you just can not do to it..
