Obviously there are more Picasso's in the UK. Above all, it has been voted UK's favorite MPV. If we have them on nearly every uk road, it's obvious there would be more accidents from Citroen that a mere 16000 approx. bongo's on the road. Lol

Don't make unnecessary assumptions and concentrate about vehicle safety. How do you know how safe these vehicle's are. This has nothing to do with Ian or this website.

Let's face it, no vehicle is 100% safe in an accident.
As for safe MPVs, just look at the results for the crash tests of a Ford Galaxy - yet Tony Blair still thinks his family are safe in one.

Well javednazeer if the safety issue bothers you that much then do yourself a favour & sell it quick!.
I however am very happy with part exchanging my VW Sharan (diesel @45/50mpg) for a 4wd Bongo 2 weeks ago....
You sould have read the forum thoroughly, you would have seen its more of a lifestyle/social change than a family taxi thing.

and as for the safety thing... did 35mile round trip to work & back today in 4 to 5 inches of snow on A & B class roads... felt alot happier & safer in the Bongo than I did in a front wheel drive Sharan.

Interesting old thread this one.. and I do not have a Bongo *yet* OK for safety, last year I had a Renault Espace, and it was in a collision with some pigeon that went around a roundabout the wrong way, and he hit me front end... Boy you should have seen the feathers!... Oh the Espace is plasticine not metal!!
The insurance on the Bongo, well I am paying over £6000.00 for a ford fiesta right now, and the Bongo is going to bring this down to £22000.00.

I am going to be more than happy to drive my children, and family in my Bongo.
Also on the note on fuel cost... Yes the Bongo is not that good.. But when you have 4 children like my self, with 3 now required by Law, to sit in booster seats, plus my slightly better half, you try doing that in a tumble dryer!.... the answer you just can not do to it..
