There's a better one than that Geoff shows all the block sensors in one pic, helps to see exactly where it is.

thank you! think i found it under the driver seat in the end. i was confused where to start looking and got more
confused when i found references to removing yhe engine tray etc.

The parts you describe are all under the bonnet area, the engines in Bongos are placed in the mid point under the drivers and passengers seats.
I can't find any pictures that show the location of the sensor the best you will get is from the Parts diagrams or the engine manuals for the WL-T engine.
aha! I think whatever I found under the driver seat was NOT the crankshaft sensor then #-o
