Passenger side door latch

Yes they don't have the easiest of access, but there again you need the security and strength in those areas, there have been a couple of posts on repairing the motors that drive the locks, there all very similar internally even if the mounting boxes are different for each location. See here http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/Slidi ... placement/ for the sliding door one.

Re: Passenger side door latch
When you say it's banging against the catch, if you hold the outer catch open can you not rotate the lock so it goes into the unlock position and then shuts. Sometimes a strong screwdriver is needed to rotate the lock to open position as it's spring loaded.

Has the driver's door (master ) elbow button gone down, or come off inside etc, the button or alarm maybe locking the doors, so you may need to pull that up to unlock the others.

Re: Passenger side door latch
Not unless the "B" pillar is out of alignment or something like that!
There is no mechanical link between the two and only the lock/unlock signal which is common to all solenoid operated doors in the electrical sense.

Re: Passenger side door latch
The control unit is in the "B" pillar and makes its connections via the 5-button connectors (two for locking recessed), only the motor and switches are within the door. There is a post on repairing it here viewtopic.php?p=696899#p696899
