After much research and deliberation I went for the Outdoor Revolution XLS2 as it comes with a built in 2 berth bedroom. groundsheet, canopy/porch facility and curtains for the 'windows'.
Looks like a good buy. Similar in construction & setup to the Movelite Cayman but plus bedroom. Enjoy!!

Is your Bongo a tin top or a pop top?
Bongo height measurement is according to google 2.1m whereas the minimum height for the awning is 2.2m according to google.
The awning attaches via an awning rail, do you have this on your van?
In my experience, there are not many "external accessories" that are designed to fit to the Bongo. It's generally a case of how much effort it is to make it work and how effective it is at that point.

Hi All,
I'm wondering where is the best location to fit the awning rail onto the side of my Bongo, for attaching a drive away tent.
It's a 1996 model with the AFT.
I have purchased a Crusader products awning rail, it comes in three sections at 1.20m each.
Im just not sure how far above the gutter I should fix the rail.
Thanks in advance,

Use a Figure of eight on both sides of the Kador strip, the one on the vehicle side slides onto the rain gutter as in the top picture;

Thanks Geoff,
how well does that setup stay on the gutter?
Looks like it could come away quite easily.
I have the Kandar strip and the figure of 8 trim to join things up, and would be fitting the awning strip on permanently.
Cheers again.

With the right size fig8 they are very tight indeed, not needed to use one myself but plenty of references on the forum, sometimes best to use Google to search as the words are often less than three characters here is one link;

Cayman XL drive away I'm sure this fits a bongo
But my question is as it has straps to go over the van which you peg on the opposite side .will this still work if the roof is up ?
