Have you tried adding storm straps to your awning? They're spring loaded so high winds stretch the springs instead of ripping the lot out the ground. With a drive-away you need 2 sets.
I've just googled it - brilliantly easy to put up. Found a video where the guy did it in under 2 minutes, Takes me about 20 mins to get to the same point with my Movelite CaymanJillygumbo wrote: Thu Jan 04, 2018 12:52 pm

There are no clips to attach storm straps to on these base tents. In the video he struggled to open up the tent. If you peg down one corner it makes it very easy to pull the 4th corner out to make a square! Same procedure when taking down! In the same video at 2.09 I thought I spotted some clips that storm straps could be attached to on the corners of the awning.
