Bongo Fury

Great news indeed. Any car can easily throw a £700 bill these days, but not many offer so much back as a Bongo. I take mine to Adrian at Japandirect in Bury every year for an inspection and work. Its about to have two more bits of welding done on the cills and i am happy to spend to keep on top of the (inevitable) age related corrosion, and mechanical stuff, as no other car will do for me what the Bongo does.

Ain't that the truth? I had the clutch done on my work car a few weeks ago, was the thick end of a grand.

To the op - I hope you've got away without having to replace the head/gasket, if so - well done! It looks like you may have got off lightly.

And thanks for letting us know how it's going, really valuable for others in the future.

please - show me - where you byu " head cylinder" at £1800??? it cost max $300, all gaskets cost $ 50 + delivery tax - $100-150....
