Thanks v much for the update Ian and once again, very best wishes to Brian and family. Get Well Soon and big thanks also to wonderful people in the NHS.Ian wrote:Here's an update on Brian. He suffered an aneurysm in the chest. Wow that is some serious condition. Very lucky it didnt happen on his drive back, doesn't bear thinking about.
Good to hear that he is enjoying the delights of hospital food and is on the road to recovery.
Hospital food is a great motivator to get well and get out I believe it tastes as it does for that very purpose!

Re: Get Well Bongoplod!
Hi everyone, this is Lynsey, Brian's daughter.
He isn't able to do this himself just yet but he has asked me to put a message on on his behalf.
First of all I think he wants everybody to know how grateful he is to Dennis for looking after him ,ringing the ambulance and making sure he got in it ,as he is a stubborn bugger when he wants to be.
He's asked me to say that it all happened very quickly, it started with severe abdominal pain followed by dizziness/losing his colour and then collapsing. He wanted me to make it clear that Dennis saved his life, and for that he is forever grateful.
He is doing well however he has had further surgery this weekend with regards to another problem theyve found with his bowel. The surgery was successful and he is once again on the road to recovery. After another short spell on critical care he is now on the high dependency unit and is hoping to be moved back to a ward soon, where he will be able to use his phone.
Everyone at the hospital is amazed how quickly he seems to bounce back and progresses in his recovery.
I know my dad wants to thank you all for your kind words and well wishes and all your love and support you have shown to us during this difficult time.
He may ask me to put another message on soon but hopefully he will be able to do this himself in the near future.
Once again from my dad, my mum, my sister, myself and Charlie we thank you and send you all much love . Xx

Hi Lynsey
Thanks so much for giving us an update. Really good to know Brian is on the mend and things are looking good, albeit with a little way to go.
Massive thanks to all at the NHS for their top quality care and particular thanks to Dennis for knowing what to do and doing it so promptly.
Great to know there are such good people out there who will step forward when needed.

Excellent news Lynsey and thank you for keeping us informed. It must have been very, very frightening at the time (awkward stubborn bugger or not) for everyone.
All the best Brian. Get well soon.

Seconded.

Re: Get Well Bongoplod!
Seems Dennis doesn't only keep Bongos on the road but Bongoliers too!
That does sound a nice idea.
