hi mike
thanks - I am not lying when I tell you - the pic doesn't do her justice - she looks twice as good in the flesh
in and out of the van. poor guy had just spent £350 on a westfalia towbar - still got the paint on the ball - that towed his spanking eriba !!
detailing is spot on
I will miss the bongo - and the next owner will get a good vehicle - with or with out the goodies that's available to go with her
I just remembered
I forgot to mention the 2 new monster batteries I ve put in her this year with a daft warranty on them - buggar
never mind - the new owner will get a good one

well she is up for sale now officially on the fury website
take away all the goodies - and youll be left with a decent bongo - for a decent price
she can be stripped of the valuables and go bare - all depends how deep the new owners pockets are
you know what its like - bits are like rock horse poo - and expensive
yk awning
bike rack
sports front grill
v good cond kyham awning
2 spare tyres
2 rear cupboards
underseat tray
double 12 '' fli sub woofer ( not for everyone )
she will stay insured and taxed till she has gone - so no worries on sneaking out for a test drive
she has already done cornwall - blackpool - countless weekends away this year
a true picture of what bongoing is all about
enough of my selling tactics lol - but very true in every sense
I would still recommend a bongo to anyone thinking about it
I already stated to one of my work friends who needs an 8 seater - ( has to sell his zafira 1st - and will still owe on it - ouch ) get an aero 2 ltr
plenty of nice ones
plus where can you get a world of knowledge and experience from - yup fury website
priceless

after 2 days of poodling around - I didn't think I would miss the bongo,s auto gearbox
don't get me wrong - I think its just made me lazy lol
or just used to luxury
especially sitting in home time traffic
bongo - was the 1st auto ive had
gotta say - flawless - until your trying to get up those big hills in bodmin - or on the way to cornwall - fully loaded
I would say - I got to expert level with the hold button
my friends always commented on how I used to feather the accelerator everywhere lol
my reply was - savour the journey - and chill
that was the bongo experience

Gorgeous looking Bongo but you should put the mileage up/kmage and list if it is a camper conversion. Glad you like your new van and bets of luck with the sale.

hi bud
I did put 86k miles in the ad I gave ian ( sorry ian - not trying to get you in trouble lol )
perhaps I added too much detail and ian trimmed it a little too much - so I will go with 50 - 50
thanks for pointing it out
I will contact ian
cheers

all done - cheers ian
86 k added - miles
I have only advertised on bongo fury for the time being - I would like it to go to someone that visits here -
this is where I found her originally
sounds daft - I will give it a week or so - then maybe spread out to the evil bay
full of notorious bargain hunters and unscrupulous peeps - lol just like me
I would ideally want her to go with everything attached - but I guess the price always looks more attractive when its cheaper
I hate selling - I am a good buyer - but rotten seller lol

When we found ours I searched "Automatic camper van" and found Bongo's - thankfully- that is a good search term to have in there.

hi 123 - yes that's what got me here the 1st time
didn't know about bongo fury -
my friend had a bongo about 2 years prior to me - and I always swore I would get one
the bongo im selling if full of add on goodies that if I stripped and sold - will no doubt be goodies that everyone looks for
I know its only 24 hrs hot - but realistically she may sell easier without all the goodies and sell them all separate
more of a pain for me - but may shift it all easier
to be honest - that's how I got my interior
a bongo owner trying to sell his van which was probably worth every penny he was asking for - needed to sell - and wasn't happening - I gave him a break down - sell this - sell that and sell van
it worked and did him a favour and he actually got back the original value of what the price he was originally selling
lol - worked for him and worked well for me - as I then got a bespoke interior

- a good part ex
but we were both happy
I will give it a week and see what happens
although priceless - I cant see me even trying to attach the yk awning to my t5 - or a fiamma etc
so I think this will be the 1st thing to go !!
as well as the bike rack
took me donkeys years to get one - only takes 2 bikes - but I would say its a shame someone stopped making them
I don't know if there was ever an issue with them - but it took my pretty heavy downhill mountain bike and the wifes old horse lol - which weighs some
down to cornwall and back a few times, and I will miss it
but a bad back and 2 buggard knees - I cant see any biking in the near future, unless its electric assist

hmmm

Shame i'm wedded to my old Bongo (and have it set up how i like) else i'd be tempted by yours as i know you've cherished it, and the colour + special upholstery colour match are very cool. Don't let it go to any old buyer if you can avoid it as it deserves a home with someone who will cherish and take an active interest in maintaining it. How well is it doing on the rust front? No shame for a Bongo that age to have some, in the classic places. Just something a buyer must budget for.

hi mike
nothing to hide
yup arches fine - will be a couple of years yet I guess
some corrosion coming at sill level
nothing major to sort - I have a couple of close up pics to show anyone
it will be their only bargaining chip - I am expecting it and will of course be sympathetic and agree to some funds off the price
its not even bad - what is expected from a 20 year old vehicle ?
to be fair - what ever bongo they buy - it is the downside to them
but keep on top of it - and she will pay off
I can honestly say that's the only down side to her and it isn't that bad
at least you can see what it is and no dodgy spray over - which I could easily get done for a few quid to tart it up
I would rather be honest etc
otherwise - yup she is still a thing of beauty

hi mike
you got me at it now
ive just totted my goodies up that will go for the price advertised
theres about 800+ quids worth that I could probably get separately
take that away from the van - say 5k - you get the van for 4200 - 4400
but that's still with - air sus air bags - 2 new batteries - full bespoke interior - prob the only one in the uk that colour interior - never mind aqua green with carls decals- full stain exhaust - full size spare
and its all electric goodies - rear curtains
cam belt done - coolant alarm - dvd player - rear screens , at least 2 years of life on tyres with smoked chrome alloys - spotless - even 2 spare tyes lol
ow yes - real leather handbrake gaiter - real leather arm rest - neon blue footwell lighting - both sides - neons at rear door
im sure theres more
as I said before - I am a terrible seller
there is a way forward there to make money - but as you said - someone who will cherish her - will get a bargain if the price is right
enough of my Nicolas parsons sales talk lol
get over here and buy her

Absolutely. A little rust has to be expected on an old Bongo and frankly, for one like that, the price seems reasonable regardless. The right buyer will be expecting to invest a little in welding work in the period ahead, and none of it sounds pressing. The upholstery sounds like an attractive feature

Good luck with the sale

hi guys
thanks for the kind words of encouragement
I am sure she will be snapped up with the 1st view
there are a few rough ones out there - no doubt - and Just as many good
as for the price - yes - I have probably spent thousands - most on goodies for the luxury camping life
totalled up - yup it probably is too cheap - but I have been reasonable - and to be fair I have set my stall out at 5100 k if they wanted to barter
al this is for - is too pay half the value back of the t5
this is why - after one week - if theres no biters - I may start to strip down and start selling the goodies - which will be a real shame
although explained above - the basic van - isn't really a basic van
im not daft - but as said a crap seller lol -

but im not desperate either
she is still insured till april - and for 20 quid month - I will still tax her
doesn't help being this time of year
same time of year I bought her

and I got her at normal price - lol - not much bartering - but jim - 1st owner - knew she was a cracker

added a couple of hundred extra for everything
I will only be knocked down - and so will they be !! unless its worth looking at
I took my time to explain everything
read it about 20 times
still miss spelt one word - but hey ho
I just want to clear my 5k debt for t5 - or at least most of it
