I've checked the forum Guidance on uploading photos and it is stating max file sizes of 50KB. I know bigger files now work but I don't know the limit however I'm confident 8MB will be too big! I'd aim below 200KB. Keeping the length of the longer side to 640 pixels or less should achieve this and of course stay within the pixels limit.Bongolia wrote:I am a bit confused by the file size thing on Google photo, which is absolutely a doddle to use..so far.
1/ If I choose "high quality" it states they are stored at a reduced size and is suited to cameras of less than 16MB well mine is 8MB so, The question is if I use the high quality storage and allow them to be resized will they be uploaded-able to BF or will I still have to resize them.
Sizing as above. The approach is personal preference. Whichever is easiest for you, the way you transfer photos and whether you want to store them in their native (max) resolution and only downsize for publishing or whether you are happy taking and storing at a very low resolution. Personally I like to store for as masters the max resolution pics and separately upload downsized copies selected for publishing.2/ I can set the phone camera to a size or resolution should I alter that so they are acceptable to BF and then send them to Google Photo would that be a simpler solution? If yes what size?
