Thanks everyone - I really appreciate it.

I only checked the front socket but it's only recording 4.33v so I've got an issue with the connection somewhere!

Details as requested:

95 plate
I do have a leisure battery (+ the original)
The radio and electric mirrors still work when the sockets do not.
Not converted
Aside from the rear ciggy port, the rear heater also does not work but this has been the case for a while. The ciggy ports were working before.

The van got broken into in France a few years back. At that time, the ports were working as we were using both during the trip. I've since had the damage repaired but unsure whether that's related...

OK,

Can you try the following...

Can you put the red probe to the live wire (the spade socket which would go to the centre of the cigarette lighter socket) and touch the black probe to some good bare metal on the car (or if it will reach direct to the negative terminal of the battery). Can you post the voltage it shows here?


Next can you test exactly the same but with the red probe on the other spade connection instead and the black one going to a good earth point? Again post the voltage it shows.
