I'm waiting for the return of my driver's seat from Den's workshop, and in the instructions for re-installing it (which he kindly sent by email), a rerouting of the seat belt sensor wire is required.
I don't think my seat belt clip had the sensor wire attached in the first place. Is this simply a seat belt alarm, which goes off if the seat belt is not fastened?
Cheers from Leon

Yes, it just shows the seatbelt warning light when the ignition is on and the belt not buckled up. It could probably be left disconnected and either left open circuit or shorted (as appropriate to keep the light off). I don't believe this will be a problem at MOT time but you should satisfy yourself that this is the case.

Thank you, Simon.
The MOT inspectors in Northern Ireland (who are all government employees) have never commented on, or tested, seat belt warning light/sensor.
I think I'll leave it as is.
Good wishes from Leon

This looks to have improved no end since the early prototypes.

Actually tempted now.

I'd be really interested to see one in operation and you're not too far from us if you don't mind meeting up sometime.

If anyone in Scotland wants to see one in operation I have the tel number of the bloke I sold my Bongo too and I am sure he would be happy to give a 'demo'. It is such a good idea it should be a' must have' in all suitable conversions. VW fans have been fitting swivel front seats for years and this was a minus point for the Bongo when comparing vehicles.
Anyway, enough of my evangelical zeal :)

Happy for anyone to come and view my swivel seat in Cheshire - especially Macclesfield, Alderley, Wilmslow, Knutsford, Altrincham areas (between home and work) :D

Is the driver side operation the same as the passenger?
