I need to ring the pub and confirm roughly how many of us are going.
Looks like so far
Baz 1
Muzzes 2/3 ?
Us 2
Wilnx 2+1?
Bert n Ernie 2
Mountain Goat 1 ??
Sorry if I've missed anyone, please let me know.
If you want to eat in the pub on Saturday night then it looks like it would be a good idea to let them know what we want, see web page below, as it gets busy.
http://tanhillinn.com/meals/
If you do want to eat in then let me know with your menu choice and I'll ring them.
Live music on that night as well, see web page.

It's only going to be Team Muz x 1 as Muzette has to be at school early on Sunday morning
Foodwise I don't mind whether we're eating in the pub or setting fire to food outside. If we're eating in the pub I'm ok with anything off the menu so I'll take a chance on whatever they haven't run out of
What time are folk planning to be there?

If I'm at a loose end I may come - I love Tan Hill. I'll have to kip in me car though as I'm still bongoless - its an estate car and possibly more comfy than a bongo so I'll be rite. I'll confirm later in the week

They have rooms there too, not exactly peak tourist season so they should have space

Sorry Brian! Got to drop out now. I have just got a private hospital appointment in Blackburn of all the places just two days after Tan Hill to see if I can get my snozzle sorted out. All that driving in a short space of time will be a bit much. Driving down to Blackburn and back for the funeral last friday was rough with all the water and tree leaves on the road.

Without wanting to party-poop in any way, you guys might want to take a view on the scary rainfall forecast for Saturday through Sunday in Northern England:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637702
and:
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weat ... 1447459200
Up to 100mm forecast around Cumbria.
It could be interesting!

Just as an update we're postponing the event - not because of the rain as you know we'd still be up for it - but because Scouting for Girls is the band for Saturday night and it's fully booked and going to be rammed. Whilst we're still welcome to go we're unlikely to even get in the bar or park. And Jayne & Jason want to see the Tan Hill Inn we all know & love, and that won't be with a huge crowd of concert folk so we're rethinking the date

I recall that when me and Daymo did the Bongo gig up there many years back, the pub had just been visited by Jools Holland and his scouts, who were weighing up the possibility of starting a latterday 'White Heather Club' type thing using the Jools approach to music. It didn't happen, but its a reminder that it may get increasingly difficult to enjoy Tan Hill as we love it to be.
Keep us posted on revised date, just in case me and Trish can get along

Sorry we couldn't go but glad pub is doing well.
You cant hear the band from outside the pub because of those windows,
Ted Moult would be proud.
Next time.

Not that there are any neighbours to take offence, apart from a couple of dozen sheep

Well it looks like the pub cocked up as Scouting for Girls were on on Friday not Saturday so we probably would have been ok
However with the weather situation its probably just as well we put it off
Have to try again
