When you say you can hear the aircon coming on - do you mean you can hear the fan blowing? If so it will be the actuator cam to the left hand side of the driver's footwell - you should be able to see this moving when you change the settings from feet to face to windscreen.

If you can't hear the fan then the advice above stands re fuses, resistors etc

Does the resistor pack have 5 connections or 3?

Aircon goes on, but no air flows out of the blowers.

If you look in the cap or top of a working fuse, you will see a shiny piece of thin metal that connects the blades, if its damaged it may be missing altogether, broken along its length or deformed and dull in any of these cases it needs replacing - compare against another fuse if your not sure!
