Alloy wheels on a Bongo are to look nice, and they do, too.
Bongy is supplied with steels, which are robust but heavier. On a F1 car this makes a difference, not on a two ton brick.
You will likely need different wheel nuts if you swap from alloys to steels and the torque setting is different, but that's about it.

Steel wheels are fine and were how many vehicles left the factory although alloys were fitted/optional on some variants. They can be slightly heavier than alloy although yours look pretty chunky so they may actually be lighter, and you wont be as upset when you bash them on the curb

Those are not split rims - the allen bolts are fake - window dressing.

Update, Mike from Wigan's Wheel Quick is fab and is sending me up four steels, wheels trips and the right nuts (I think). So hopefully my wheel problems are at an end..
Would have been lost without this forum so thanks again
