50p a litre is amazing, when I started the blooming oil thing nearly 13 years ago now it was 40p a litre, then it zoomed up to £1.20 a litre, to find it that price now is amazing, shame I live so far away.

I just bought 100 litres of KTC from Bookers at 75p per litre, will use at 100% once I finish plumbing my exchanger into the cooling system, I already have a heater on the filter for cold starts so even cheaper motoring to come!

First fill with RSO. I had about a 1/4 tankful so drove into petrol station with my sainsburys bags full of Crisp'n'dry. Poured them in then filled up with diesel. I felt a bit conspicuous spending 5-10 mins pouring oil in before picking up the pump! Is this the way you normally do it and do petrol stations get irritated?

No, and I could well imagine they might!

The filling station might not get irritated, but the queue behind you for the pump might.

Put the veg in somewhere out of the way BEFORE you park at the pump. If the engine (or weather) is hot you can even put it in before you set off to fill up - I usually do.

ah OK. Wasn't sure about the high concentration of rso pending diesel fill.
P.s. there was nobody behind me :)

Not a problem if engine is hot or even warm.
I ran out of fuel once and happened to have 5x1 litre bottles of Veg Oil in the back so I poured them into the tank and started OK and ran cleanly to the next filling station.

There never is when I first pull up, but there is usually at least one driver behind me before I've finished filling.
