as your a body man
is it possible for you to create a rip speed grill
just leave the outer and mesh the inside - also carbon wrapped - ( not the grill bit )
if not - a wrapped grill is fine

Does he do wrapping ..??
Wrapping is a lot different to hydro dipping ..
The finished 'strength' of dipping is only as strong as the lacquer used

I see what I did there
a dipped grill will be fine !! - if a mesh one cannot be sorted
as long as it gets the lacquer after -

£45-£50 quid for grill start to finish for hydro dipped inc. laquer.
I've never done a ripspeed grill before, if anyone has a spare going I would give it a go.
I agree it has to be a decent laquer but the dip is etched into the basecoat with an activator and was surprisingly durable as I had to flat a bit down, it was like paint on the surface, amazing process!

hi stuc
hope I can link to the mazda speed grills
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MAZDA-BONGO-MAZD ... 1622262421
that ones a 2003 and above
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j178/ ... f60a62.jpg
this one is my grill - this is what I want - similar to madza speed ( not rip speed )
a few members have cut the inners out and done their own
is this something you could do - and then get dipped
if it is - let me know
andy

I would give it a go, I don't have a spare grill, has anyone got one to donate, even if its broken in the middle, it's getting cut out anyway.

Put them on today, 235/50/R18 101W tyres on, fills the arch up nice, no rubbing, the ride feels a bit nicer than on the 225/45's and the speedo is spot on with the gpsI think that answers most of the questions.
Before
After

Forgot to add the pic.
Andy, I'm on the case, a mate is looking to see if he has an old grill kicking about.
