Can't get car up on system so again no technical data so has put it down as a commercial van service???

Can anyone please guide me to the data they think they need to re-gas my system. What I find strange is that although I used a different branch to normal as they were getting a refurbish, KwikFit serviced and regassed my last Bongo just last year with no problems or queries??
Maybe I should just go elsewhere but with working away it's hard.
You could mention this to the SM and they could contact them for data. KwikFit are usually very helpful and have some very good mechanics/ technicians

Well it strikes me that if one Kwikfit have had amy Bongo and managed to capture all the data, how is it that other Kwikfits cant access it. Is the I.T. system not shared from a central server???

That makes the dangerous assumption of any form of expertise or competence at Kwikfit.

A very dangerous assumption and one that that I seem to recall has cost some folk a lot of money.

I wouldn't trust Kwikfit to re-gas their Y-Fronts after a baked bean banquet.

My local KwikFit was very good and some of the mechanics/technicians were known to me, because I worked with them when I worked at the Saab dealership. However, the good ones seem to have left, so I don't risk them now.

That's the problem, you don't know if you are going to get the one good one or one of the 99 tw@ts.

I wouldn't trust them to fit tyres, let alone service my Bongo or recharge the aircon. I would always take it to a specialist even if I have to pay a bit more.

Wouldn't argue with that mate, as I said my only problem was pressure of work making me require a quick fix! No other reason...Have not got the luxury of time to shop around with working 12 hour shifts on nights.

A couple of air con related things...

1)Where is the valves/pipe thing they connect to on the Bongo just so I know where to direct them under wheel arch? Bonnet? Engine bay left or right side?

2)I had a very decent experience at Kwik Fit recently on my other car. Air con re- charge £49.99, free recharge if pressure drops for any reason within 3 months or so and they test pressure and give a etc. The guys were very helpful and friendly. I was surprised as I have tended not to go there, seems ok, i think they have upped the service levels and become more competitive of late.

I think the guys working there are right under the thumb these days.. as their customer services phoned me the next day and asked for rate the friendly-ness and helpfull-ness of the staff.

Thanks

Yeh, Halfords just did the same to me last week. I think they are all at it?

The H (High) pressure valve connection is in front of the radiator by the horn ..

The L (Low) pressure valve connection is lower down by the steering rack ..
