I think they are all the same. When ours split (due to minus 20 temps and freezing of the anti freeze) I got a replacement unit from an older van and it was a straight swap over for the matrix. It was a bit of a faff to get the unit out since I could not get in to the clips to remove the top without removing the whole thing, so needed to re gas the air con as well.

Have fun.

All the best

David.

Obviously, it's illegal to vent refrigerant into the environment, but if you do, release the pressure using the H & L valves under the bonnet ;). Use a cloth to cover the valves to soak up the fluid & use a screwdriver to activate poked thru it to activate the valve release mechanism.

Walking around a car boot sale a few weeks back I met a guy who I know and showed me a small gauge he had just paid 50p for .. it was brand new and still on a blister packed 'hang up' card ..to me it initially looked like it was for checking car tyres ..

But no .. it was a gauge with a needle and marked round with red .. amber .. green segments .. when pushed onto the A/C Shreader valve .. the needle indicted the refrigerants pressure ..

Apparently (he said) a good bit off kit if you top up your own (Halfrauds) refrigerant ..
