Exactly. It's partly tax and partly greed on the part of the supermarkets I think.
The Bordeaux I got was marked up at €1.79 a bottle but the checkout operative failed to spot some of the cases in the trolley. Which I only noticed after I inspected the receipt in England

We would have done, but Mrs Muz always has the Christmas sprouts on the go at Easter, so by December they're nice & tender
