Have you checked the bonnet fuse that supplies the power to the Fan itself;
Front heater

and rear heater

Ah have you checked the plug on the rear of the controls, if your now getting odd failures like the rear button etc. then the plug maybe loose ?
Not sure of the Manual control unit, but I think it does have some electrical connections, so worth checking.

I wouldn't worry too much about the picture as that may not be 100% accurate. Give them a call and quote your VIN and they should be able to provide the correct part.

hi,
when i got my van, the front blower wasn't working. had it checked out by an auto electrician, who said the resistor checked out fine,
but the blower/fan needed replaced. to buy the motor from this site is almost £200, although fitting is easy, i can't justify that amount of cash for a vehicle i only use in spring/summer. apparently it's a common fault.

Its just a long shot.. If all the usual suspects check out?? Why ot try cleaning the contacts to the connector on the resistor pack...

There's a connector in the wiring to the fan. Remove the plug and apply 12v (preferably via suitable fuse) direct to the motor. That will narrow the fault down a bit.

Just wanted to say thanks. I am new to Bongo land and just realised my front fan was not working. I followed all the stuff on this thread and fixed it (re soldered my resistor pack)!

Have you also attended to the fan motor, its that which causes the heat fuses to blow....
Water gets sprayed over the fan housing when the drainage tube from the window screen gets blocked, this causes corrosion of the bearings in the motor which then draws to much current and overheats the fuses. Fix the fuses without attending to the motor means it will simply blow again after a short time

I recall someone successfully fitting replacement bushes, but can't remember who. It might be covered in the BF members factsheet or else have a search on here. Good luck and keep us posted with details if you find a replacement part as i'm sure others might be interested!
