It's a system I have in mind to shut the heat down after the initial warmup if that's required, so there's no over-heat of the oil. Extremely controllable, but needs someone to make it...

Hi
VW used heat exchangers for their cabin heating for generations on the air-cooled engines....AND they were good and very efficient at heating, but the replacement parts weren't properly finned, and sealed onto the exhaust pipes properly, so their heating system on the air cooled engines got a bad rep because of poor parts and fitters that just slapped the parts on improperly, and never cared for the ducting! Mine worked!
