We have movelite square. Very compact and easy to put up but not very good in wind.

It offers a nice living/playing space and it has seen me though some of the toughest weathers. Attached to a Bongo of course not a vdub (raises nose)

Yep,this gets my vote, will take anything you throw at it,roomy and built to last, like a proper caravan awning.Bargains are out there, but as Jo says, they are solid but not the lightest bit of kit

Hi, update for you.. we ended up going for the Royal traveller. Just waiting on delivery and then into the garden for a trial put up whilst wind blows cats and children all over.
Got it from Riversway Travel in Preston as they price matched a deal we had found online, thought it best as they are more local than Walsall where the other shop was.
Will post pictures once (if) we get it up

That's quite a bargain, go for it if it is what you need. I have a standard motordome without the sleeping pod so it is quite a bit lighter. Easy and quick to put up, takes a bit longer to get the hang of packing it again the original size. Khyams have a reputation for being able to stand up to anything if properly pegged out, mine has ridden out at least half a dozen storms.

Leanne that's the one we bought after some research but the weather has been so awful we haven't put it up yet
If you see someone struggling to put up one of these onto an n reg Freda please don't laugh too loudly, any help will be rewarded from wine cooler

V excited, just phoned Khyam, who were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable - so ordered it! Just need a bit of warmth and we'll be off.

Having just had our first trip away we realise we need a new awning. Has anyone ever tried one of these quick erect ones?

Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

We've had a khyam motordome sleeper for several years and it's had plenty of use. Overall it is a great awning for longer trips, we use a couple of quechua base pop-ups for shorter breaks.
The only slight issue with the khyam is that there is no overhanging canopy over the doors so if it is wet water drips in when using the doors.
Not an issue if the weather is good but during our recent summers we have taken to rigging a canopy over the doors for a bit of shelter.
