What does the plunger do? I checked today when fully warmed and it touches the plunger fine.

from a cold start it should initially push and up the revs

and then after a period back of

That all works fine. Thank you.

Drove all day today with no problems, but can bet that it will happen tomorrow. There really doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to the stalling??????

Very kind but im in penzance. Just purchased a new non return valve as when getting it off to check it, it broke!!
