Bongo Fury

Thanks for the response regarding the cut of my jib....Just been out for a quick drive down the pub in my Boris.....dropped one of my cohorts off at his home.

He said to me "Wow no rattles or bangs". Followed by "This is so you"....as previously mentioned my Bongo is like a needy child. He is receiving all the TLC I can afford at this time.

So glad I can sort all the mechanical stuff out myself.

So would describe this particular Bongo as "Work In Progress".

Onwards and upwards to the goal of total reliability.

With a Bongo one assumes to be attained at the time as perpetual motion.

Answers on a post card or stuck down envelope.

I have a few localised rust patches on the wheel arches which i will have to attend to by grinding out properly and treating with rust preventative plus smoothrite.
I wonder if it would be a runner to design some curved black vinyl patterns ( or other colour /shapes) to cover them rather than trying to blend in new paint. Has anyone tried this sort of thing?

I bought smooth green hammerite, darkened it my mixing with some black smooth hammerite I already had, masked off the wheel arch flare line and, having done my grinding and a little filling, stippled the hammerite on with a brush. I've ended up with a very acceptable result, with am interesting surface texture that looks much classier than brush strokes. Tough old finish too including in the wheel arch reveals. Rust appears stopped......for now.
