I'ts been a while but I'm back. (the hairdrier was fine in in the end)
I've tried to stay away but the audio tinkering bug has got me again.
I've decided to get stuck into the rear of the van with more deadening, amp, new speakers and some insulatio.
I had a bit of deadening left over so I had a go at the boot earlier, I've decided to use this as insulation stuffing

I'm a bit worried about using traditional wool type insulation for fear of moisture etc
I stayed away from the locking mech, maybe I was being too cautious but I didn't fancy having to pull it all out again.

I got the rear panels out in anticipation of the new gubins arriving soon.
I decided to squirt some kurust down the seam of the rear arches
I forgot about the drain holes
at least I know they aren't blocked
I also found this chap in the air intake at the front, I'm not sure if he is native but I like to pretend he's been preserved in there since before the import

I think I will have a check of my front's to make sure that they aren't fouling the door cards just incase

Trouble is that it is a slow degridation of the component rubber between the cone and the outer rim, i just noticed one day that my front speakers sounded poo.

got home from work to a nice package of new bits from CAD so I thought I'd get into it
dampening
Isolator stuff (not sure if this will be any cop or not)
Insulation
Speaker. I went for an adapter plate to fit 13cm speakers in the back, mainly as I wanted to match the front and back (rear are coax fronts are components but the logo on them is the same). No real reason for this other than being totally anally retentive.

I need to do some work under the carpet so that I can reattach that panel and then move on to the next. I'll get there eventually

Ok I started to take the sliding door trim appart, got distracted and only tonight got around to finishing it off.
I'm missing a clip towards the rear of the window that keeps the top plastic trim bit attached but I can't remember what I'm looking for in the various boxes of bits n bobs I seem to have collected together.
Is there a diagram somewhere of all the trim clips and fixings?

I seem to be missing something around the "C" area, I'm sure it will turn up.
I just noticed that the ceiling light no longer comes on with the door opening (but does still work with the boot opening) so I'm guessing that I've knocked something out somewhere, aaaargh. I don't know if I have the patience to take it all apart agin

small update onthe front speakers. I read a thread on here about the jbl speakers fouling the door card, I managed to get around to removing my door card earlier to add a bit more sound proofing that I had lying around and checked on the speakers. All seems fine the way I put it together, no fouling so it should be fine (fingers crossed)
