There's nothing in the Wiring Manuals for auto lights so I can only presume that the auto head lights and often the auto dim/dip is a Japanese add on, in which case look around the drivers area for added switches!

I've been looking for it since day one and I can't find anything. no switch
Do you believe the electric probs are related?

Hi
Not certain, but there is a sensor on the far right side by the "A" pillar (driver's side) right at the front by the windscreen on top of the dash...I have heard that this is the sensor for headlights....you could try covering it with a towel and see if the lights go on.
It's a small round sensor
Cheers

'Fraid not Helen the Sun sensor in the offside front is for the Air Con, so it can know when the Sun is shining in heating the passengers directly, despite the air being at the right temperature;

The sensor is G3-14 and is located here;

top right hand corner

Possibly but it wouldn't be my first assumption at all, they seem like different problems unless someone has been in fiddling with things or adding extra bits.

I'm happy that the head lights sensor doesn't work.. just concerned that it just came up after the handbrake light prob..
does anyone know a good garage that does servicing and electrics around north London?

I'm not happy with Lakeside garage because when I needed to replace the ball joints for the Mot they weren't aware that you could just replace them. they wanted to change the wishbone as well that would cost a lot of money.

thanks
