Thanks Simon will have a look at this at weekend, whats the electric plug for?Simon Jones wrote:If you have a side conversion, it is often easier to remove the seat altogether to get better access.
1) Slide seat back & remove front 2 bolts (can be very tight)
2) Slide seat forward & remove back 2 bolts
3) Remove bolt that holds the seat belt sliding mechanism
4) Lift seat out & then disconnect the plug mentioned previously

Ahh-ha! I thought for one minute I had electric seats or heated seats that I did not know about?

Re: DIESEL MISFIRE
Late to the topic, but would like to confirm that changing glowplugs solved a similar problem on my manual diesel. Mechanic had continuity tested them and assured me they were ok but my tests after removal showed two were not heating well.
Also, to tilt back the seat on a non-converted Bongo you need to undo the clips. There are 2 at the front under the carpet, and one under the centre console if I recall correctly. Centre console is removed by undoing the two thumbscrews, one of which is under the ashtray, the other in the cubby at the back of the centre console.
