We arrived at 12 noon today, weather is good, a bit overcast with a slight breeze. Getting here was a bit of a miss. Once you take the left turn at the T junction after coming off the A465 straight across the cross roads take the next right "signposted Monmouth" up a hill and the site is on the left.
see ya tomorrow,

Had a great weekend, thanks to Ian for organising and all the others for turning up. Brilliant to see people I haven't seen for a while.
I stopped off in Monmouth on the way home, wandered around the town and the castle, had a pub lunch (as Facebook users know) and then tootled through the Forest.
I saw a largish bird crossing the road (not a joke) in front of the bongo (flying - the bird not the bongo). It had red brown wings and a white back/rump. It looked like a hawk type bird. All the pictures I've seen of birds on the websites show pictures from underneath. Anyone know what it was? I couldn't take a picture cos I was driving!

My initial thought was a red kite - was it?

Not for the want of trying Si. I don't know what Photobucket is up to but they won't let me resize to post on the forum.
