Hi progroup,

Are you using a Dial Gauge to time the pump.Is it the dial gauge values that you require?

No I used a dial indicator to set pump timing

It's worth re checking that all is well in the governor area (92-95) in the link dandy sent. Incorrect fuelling can shown as a TPS fault :wink:

Hmm! Calibration would definitely affect the govenor operation [parts 92 to 95]. When it comes off idle, really smooth especially above 2,000RPM. Still idles rough; I haven't ordered a new TPS yet. Bell Hill has them used. I gave them my shopping list for used components a few days ago.

Funny, today's driving revealed erratic up and downshifts! :(

I called and discussed this phenomenon with Alan [dandywarhol]. The engine started to run rough at idle in and around the time I noticed the leaks. I thought the leaks would also spell air in the line. But now that the FIP is rebuilt and no more leaks; my problem is deeper now that the HOLD light flashes AND the auto gearbox shifts too soon with no downshift.

Difficult item to resolve w/o Bongo experience. I have never just been a 'part changer'. I like to know what the problem source is. Therefore, I am going with a known good used TPS replacement before pumping out another $200 bucks!
