Yeah he certainly knows his stuff he reminds me of ed china, the sort of bloke who always knows where to get the right bits and if he can't get em he makes em.

Quite right - I cringe when I see Edd using a can of aerosol paint on a classic car. I certainly wouldn't buy a used car off him.

But certainly not where painting comes into it though! Your guy's got one over Edd there M80
They'd make so much more profit on motors on Wheeler dealers if Edd just learned how to paint a bit
Also on wheeler dealers they never cost labour into the final bill

Yep... He bloomed the basecoat, and dry dusted the lacquer... From memory i think the capri was lavante grey. (over silver perhaps?) Even a pro bodyshop could fluff up fussy lavante grey... I think that's around the period when Ford started to give out the wrong weights to aftermarket paint manufacturers so that "none ford" repairs were always miles out regarding colour matches. That's what feathered blow in's were invented for eh?
Ford and grey paint eh?
My car's 3 different shades but you can't tell thanks to the good old "blow in"!

I can
I wouldnt even let Ed China any where near my pushbike never mind my car. I watched him put so much filler in a mini door once, that it would of been twice as quick and just as cheap to put a skin on.
